The Samples Came Rolling In, for It's All In The Bag

The samples are a flowin'! I went to the post yesterday morning, they are open for 2 hours on Saturday, and I wanted to make sure that if someone sent something kind of melty that it wouldnt sit there all weekend. I got 3 boxes in the mail yesterday, all of them with cool different items.

The first box I tore into was from Camille Wanders, they sent in cute little organic hand dyed pouches, very cool and well made!

Bella Pure's box was next, I opened it to find samples of facial moisturizing night creme, vegan of course, and even a bag of items for me to try and review! Our very first submission for review on this blog! It's easy, send in any item you would like me to review, my mailing address is on the sidebar! So far so good with the items she sent me for review, keep your eyes peeled this coming week. My skin is super sensative and it is loving Bella Pure so far!

Last but not least at all are Veganessas awesome felt pouches, they are all so cute. Some have little animals, some have sayings, some are circles some are squares. Very creative and cute! Jessi still uses hers from the last round of sample bags!

The bags will go on sale August 16th and they will be AWESOME! 100% of profits from the sale of the August bags will go to Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary. Monsters dont have to be scary!

Panda with cookie has a shop full of monsters, but there is one main difference from normal monsters...these ones dont give you nightmares!

They are so worried they are going to scare away friends, that they have both gone incognito!

If you are still scared of the evil monsters under your bed, I assure you...stringing some of these little guys around your room will keep the hairy scary ones at bay!

Vegan Craft Samples August 2009

We have sold all but 5 of our vegan craft sample bags, raising over $100 for For The Animals Sanctuary! If you havnt ordered your bag, now is the time, we only have a few left.

Now it is time to start getting crafters/artists together who would like to be in the second bag! The second round of vegan craft samples will go on sale August 16th, and all samples are due to me by July 30th. If you are interested in being in the next bag, please email me at ecosampler@yahoo.com. Many people who dont have small items, or items they can make into sample sizes send in business cards and coupons or gift certificates as well. If you need help coming up with ideas for samples, I am sure we can brainstorm!

We recently added a project wonderful ad section to our blog, if you are interested in advertising on the vegan samples blog, it is cheap and easy! We are always willing to trade ad space with people as well, as long as your blog or website is vegan oriented!

I got my Vegan Samples bag today! And it is the awesomest thing ever!!! First of all, my cool lil' tote bag has a LION on it. Can you believe it? A freakin' lion! How awesome is that? So awesome. The awesomest, even.

OK, then there's the contents. There are so many wonderful smelling things in it that I could smell them before I'd even gotten the box open. Inside, there were an unbelievable number of goodies - in the form both of samples, and of various coupons and special offers to be redeemed when visiting shops on Etsy and elsewhere.

What did the samples consist of? Soaps, earrings, pins, a fancy flower hair clip, a cool cuff, a lovely sachet, a great puppydog postcard, a cool little crocheted thingamabobber... pulling it all out was like digging into the seemingly endless well of a fantastic Magician's hat. Each item elicited a new "ooh" or "aah" or "yummy!" or "pretty!". Who was I talking to? Umm... well, myself. Whatever, you do it too.

For the variety of surprises alone, the bag was so totally worth the price! I'm just sad we have to wait until August for Sample Bag Numero Dos to appear. But never fear, it's already in the works!

Review of For My Kids

In my bag, from For My Kids I got this neatly packaged All Natural Comfrey Salve whose little size is seriously deceiving. Packed inside is this delicious balm to heal all sorts of bumps, bruises and bites. It smells SO much more fresh and better then balm I've used in the past and goes easily onto the skin. One of the kids I nanny is always managing to jump off something and hurt herself and has in just the few days I've had it demanded I give her more of the "cool slippery stuff" to put on.

Not probably what it was originally intended for, but my hands get all (yuck) cut up and bleed from Buffalo's winters and have been this way for MONTHS with nothing helping. Within 24 hours and just using it about 4 times my hands are smooth and cut-free! A few of my bike riding friends keep swiping the container from me too- I'll have to stop by and pick up some more!

Vegan Craft Samples

Exciting!

Day by day we get closer to the first sample bags going on sale!! Tuesday is the day and we have some really great contributors this round! If you are interested in contributing samples for the next bag, please email me at ecosampler@yahoo.com for more info! We are also looking for the sponsor for the next bag, the cost is $30 (which goes straight to the sanctuary that is voted for that round) and you have your ad up from the day we sell out of this bag, until the day we sell out of the bag you are sponsoring...the second bag goes on sale in august, so that is a few months of exposure for only $30!! And it goes straight to the animals!!! The voting for sanctuaries only has a couple more days left and it is a really close call right now. We are also looking for folks who want to trade ad space on their blogs, websites, etc...please feel free to contact me if you are interested in that at all. Samples are coming!!!

Everyday we go to the po box, and BEHOLD, more samples have arrived. The first round of vegan sample bags is really coming together and everything looks so awesome and unique thus far. Our website is up!!!

After a lot of hard work and possibly losing half of my head of hair....the vegan samples website is up and functional!!! Any critiques and tips are appreciated, please email them to ecosampler@yahoo.com
It is getting very hectic and exciting on this end, getting all of the samples in the mail and getting them ready for the bags. The bags are almost all stitched now, and came out really nice. Please remember to vote for the animal sanctuary you would like to see the money go to! And under current contributors we have folks whose items we have already received up and ready to peek at!
